Welcome to 12840 Gallery
12840 Gallery is a pop-up art gallery in Blue Island, Illinois. Pop-up art galleries are temporary displays, bringing new life to empty storefronts. Since 2010, 12840 Gallery artists have been collaborating with businesses and citizens with hopes to brighten storefronts on Western Avenue, increase foot traffic in Uptown, and create more opportunities for artists in the area.
12840 Gallery would like to thank Jennie Malysa, Amy Malysa and gallery volunteers and artists for your time and help making the gallery possible at its first location, 12840 Western Avenue, from December 2010 to May 2012.
More recently, the gallery would like to thank Rhonda Levy and Dan Carroll for their help with our exhibits at the Blue Island Public Library; as well as Raul Zarco of Forever Photos; Gerry and Nele Burns of Blue Island Music; Candace Carr of CARR home-garden-holiday; Amy and Steve of Lost Treasures Resale Shop; Joe and Rosemary Murphy of Three Sisters Resale Mall; and to our friends, Claire McGourty and Shannon Roman Gosciejew.
